Would a Pot of Gold Solve All My Problems?
No of course it wouldn’t. But it would definitely help with my finances. Actually, I’ve just found a pot of gold. As you know, my mum passed away three weeks ago. I never considered receiving any amount of money from her. She was always frugal, rarely buying new clothes for herself.
But she must have been squirrelling it away because I’ve just discovered there’s a decent-sized pot for my brothers and sister to share. There may even be enough to build a granny flat for me behind Keeley’s house. I spend most of my days there in any case. I’d be a built-in babysitter for Caelin and save $550 a week in rent.
I’m a little over making my landlord richer than he already is. Since I’ve never expected to inherit anything from anyone, inheriting money from mum is the closest thing I’ll ever get to finding that elusive pot of gold.
