What great memories! In 2006, I did a road trip around Northern Honshu with my daughter in a borrowed car. We didn't book any accommodation. I don't think we had a proper map. We had a map of the Triennial Outdoor art Installations... not to scale . We had the best fun. The first night we slept on the dining room floor of a rice farmer. Those were the days!
