- 1. My bed- I haven’t always loved my bed as much as I do now. It was never MY bed but always OUR bed. I didn’t get much say in choosing it. I’ve had a king size bed in my last two relationships but the bed I chose myself 5 years ago is a white queen. I bought white beside tables and a white tallboy to match. All mine!
2. My pool. I rent my house. It’s old and quirky just like me but my pool saves my sanity on hot humid days in summer.
3. I’ve grown to love my house too. I love it even more when I’m home alone and don’t need to get dressed.
4. Days or nights alone. It doesn’t happen often but last night I was alone for the first time in years! And I’m alone tonight too!
5. Television in my bedroom. It’s the one luxury I’ve had since. 1981 when I rented a VHS player. I remember it was attached to the “remote” by a long cord.
6. My music. Apple Music. Spotify. My CD collection. Even my ancient LP collection that I can’t bear to part with.
7. Going with the theme of collections, I love my library ( collection of books) We ( mostly Keeley) are currently making my double garage a liveable space.
8. My pianola and my pianola roll collection. I haven’t been able to play it because of my knees but am looking forward to firing it up soon and playing some of my old (very old) favourites. Does anyone know Shuffle off to Buffalo or Nature Boy?
