What a lovely story, Claire. My first flight as a teenager was on my own. I silently cried most of the way. No one engaged me in conversation or tried to calm my fears.I hated flying for the next 22 years until I realised if I wanted to see the world, I was going to HAVE to fly. Now I love it. I still don't love waiting at airports though.
