This happened to me in Europe flying from London to Paris. The Air France checkin girl wanted confirmation of my whole trip. Luckily these were in the days of carrying paper copies of everything. She wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to stay in France! All my paper copies ( a huge folder) were in my suitcase! I hadn’t yet booked my flight back to Australia. Luckily I always arrive at the airport early.
