The strangest present I’ve ever received.
I’ve received some very weird presents over the years. I really can’t decide which one was the strangest. Maybe it was my first birthday that I celebrated with Ross. You name it — he gave it to me.
Just one gift would have been lovely. It would have shown me that a) he actually remembered my birthday b) he had put some thought into its purchase and c) he had been listening to my stories. One of the presents ticked all of these boxes.
A helicopter ride
I had mentioned I had bought a helicopter ride over Paris from Groupon but never experienced it. So did he buy a helicopter ride over Paris? I wish! But he did take me on a helicopter flight over Brisbane.
It was terrifying. So that’s off the bucket list. I won’t be doing that again.
A birthday dinner
Somewhere along the way I must have mentioned that I’d never been to the Summit Restaurant at Mt Coot-tha so after the helicopter, we went out to dinner there. No expense spared! I had never had such extravagant gifts in my whole life!
