The funniest dream I’ve ever had.

I dream - a lot! Every night in fact. But if I don’t tell it to someone immediately, I forget it. Knowing I had this prompt to reply to, I made a special effort this morning.

The house I’m dreaming about. My family and I rented it for 14 years. It always seemed like ours.

We were just clearing the final few items out of our old rental house that had been in my family for 14 years. The house is up for sale. The landlord is tired of complaining tenants. (My family painted the whole house for him, tinted the bedroom windows, and fixed everything we possibly could so he didn’t have to pay for professionals.) but that wasn’t in the dream.

In the dream, I was helping get bits and pieces of furniture and junk out of the house. As I was carting things out, more things kept appearing so it was a never-ending task. I carried out not one ironing board but two! And there was another family moving their belongings in at the same time. You can imagine the confusion. I thought (in the dream) “Geez, they’re quick to take possession after buying the house.” So I start chatting to them. It turns out they haven’t bought the house. They have bought a brand new house but they can’t move in till the 6th of June so they need to rent somewhere for the next few weeks and Gary (the landlord) agreed, (in the dream)because he hadn’t been able to sell the house.
