That single photo of the church in the middle of Lake Bled was what drew me to Slovenia in 2014. We stayed in a village on a lake between Ljubljana and Lake Bled for 5 glorious days. Loved the down to earth way you wrote about your hike. My head would love to do it, but my body says a definite NO. 😊
