Th longest flight delay that I remember was over 20 years ago. The whole family was flying to Sydney for Easter on a 6 am flight on Good Friday - it's only an hour's flight time. The flight finally left at 2pm after announcement during the day almost hourly. So 8 hours delay. If they told us that it would be 2pm departure, we could have driven home - we only loved about 20 minutes from the airport! I just read - I finished one book and started another. We were given vouchers for food.
