Slow down…
Who amongst us is not guilty of living in the fast lane? Gotta get things done, gotta be there on time, gotta pay the bills, gotta get that story written, gotta cook dinner (well, not me) but the rest of you, I imagine.
I’m retired… and I’m still go, go, go! Does it come from a life of being a high achiever — always feeling under the pump? When I do slow down, I feel guilty.
I’ve decided to make myself a cup of coffee but instead of just sitting and enjoying it, here I am writing… while I’m drinking the coffee.
Seeing a sunrise or sunset and taking it all in — you don’t have to photograph it or post it on Instagram.
Hugging and kissing your child or grandchild and hearing their laughter.
Luxuriating in a long hot bath.
What are your simple pleasures in life?
