My two eldest sons have just finished paying their student loans. Stacey has a huge debt as she did honours and a masters and even though she teaches at a university she doesn’t earn enough to pay back her student loan. Keeley will never pay hers back unless she has a best seller. I was lucky. When I went to university, everything was free except books. I won scholarships to pay for the books and from memory I received $6 a week living expenses. How times have changed.
