My inspiration for living overseas for 6 months came from Mary Moody who gave herself 6 months in the Lot area of France for her 50th birthday. She wrote a book about it Au Revoir. Then she decided to buy a house in this area. I stayed in her house in 2011 which fuelled my passion for living in a French village.
