My first teaching gig was 44 4th graders. I would come home every day wanting to quit. I couldn't quit because I'd have to repay the government for my college fees. I hung in there. the following year I had 37 3rd graders. I loved teaching from that time on, but that first year! Danny Gram... I'll never forget him.
