My daughter lived in Japan for 10 years so when I visited onsens were always a daily part of our itinerary. In Iceland the first thing we did was walk to the hot pool next door to our hostel. We went on a tour c for a few days soaking in a hot pool near VIK and then same back to Reykjavik and another public hot pool complex. On our last day on our way to the airport, we visited the Blue Lagoon. There weren’t many people in the lagoon and we found an area that was a lot hotter then the rest of the lagoon. It was totally worth it to have the facial experience etc. it was my birthday gift from my daughter so I didn’t pay.
