Loved your story. All of my kids sucked one or more of their fingers when they were babies. I didn’t believe in dummies. I still don’t. They all grew out of it naturally as toddlers except my second son who had to be discouraged. The paint on stuff didn’t work. Yuk! One day my new partner not did dad put his hand in a perfectly clean toilet. That was it. He never sucked his fingers again. He did grow up to be a criminal though so I’m now wondering if it was the right thing to do.
