Look What I Did Last Night!
Last night Keeley called me distraught. She had dropped her iPhone on the keyboard of her MacBook Air and her laptop carked it. I told her about the Apple Education Store where you could receive a discount without showing your student ID.
The lovely guy at the Apple Store told me about it so I went online to check it out. I went through the whole process and nowhere did it say to enter your student/ teacher ID here. I went through the whole site ticking options and changing my Apple ID password and address. It was a step-by-step but long process. I had to choose did I want it delivered or pickup. Keeley had to go to the Apple store today to solve her laptop woes so I added her details so she could pick it up for me.
I got to the “pay here” and pressed the button.
I had bought myself a brand new gold MacBook Air with free EarPods for $150 less than the recommended price. Then I checked my bank account to see if I could afford it. Of course, I can’t. But what’s done is done. Am I an impulsive person? It sounds like it but what I didn’t tell you is that a month ago I took my MacBook Air in for repairs and was told parts weren’t available for an almost 10-year-old laptop. The battery can’t hold a charge and I can’t read the keys. The letters have been rubbed off from all of the writing I’ve been doing and the hard drive is struggling which is why it’s so slow.
So I knew I was going to be up for a new one before I started travelling. My new MacBook Air is slightly smaller and a lot lighter — great for travel!
