I’ve worked all my life and never considered retiring. Retirement was forced upon me at 68 and I immediately joined as many U3A classes as humanly possible. Plus I belong to a writers’ group, and four other social groups who meet on a regular basis for coffee or lunch.

Quite a few of my classes are language classes. I’m learning Portuguese, Spanish and Italian and go to French classes to keep my French brain intact.

I have aqua aerobics four times a week (I rarely make all 4 — just can’t be in two places at once!) and have just started tai chi on Sunday mornings. I think I’m actually busier now than when I was working full-time.

Oh, and I play pub trivia once or twice a week just to keep me out of mischief. And in between times I write about my adventures.
