It's hard for me to imagine what growing up in a segregated society was like. Australia has been multicultural for a long time. My best friend at primary school was Ineke van Hunnik who was Dutch and my best friend at high school was Maria Bakalakis who was Greek. I was friends with Jackson Leong at high school and Robert AhHoon was the smartest kids in our class.
