It's a difficult illness to diagnose and to medicate. My eldest son was diagnosed as bipolar in his early twenties. Since then he's had other diagnoses, OCD, Aspergers' and ADHD. Let's just say he's different. My whole family has some sort of mental illness whether they acknowledge it or not. His worst traits are when he's on a high, he spends money like there's no tomorrow then sinks into the doldrums for months trying to catch up.
