It sounds like you've got it all figured out! Relax and enjoy! And don't worry too much about the Schengen Visa. Us Aussies often overstay the 3 month mark, but don't catch flights in that time, trains and buses, but maybe because we're Aussies they leave us alone. I don't apply for any visas for Europe ever. But i haven't been since Brexit so who knows?
