Interesting. I have a shoe rack outside my front door but don’t takeoff my shoes as my floors are all wooden. But everyone who comes sheds their shoes at the front door. Not a bad thing as sometimes they’re muddy work boots. Sometimes there’s a reason for shedding your shoes at the front door. In Japan, it’s tatami mats.
