In days gone by, forty or more years ago, we used to all drink and drive. My dad used to drive home from the pub and unable to walk up the stairs he was so drunk. We used to say the car knew its own way home! However none of us ever pranged our car. You were extra stupid by arguing with the service station attendants. Otherwise the police would have been none the wiser but would you have learned your lesson by just having to fix your car?
