I wasn't heartbroken but I had planned a 5month trip of Europe with a woman I thought was my friend.Fortunately we "broke up" 4 months before the ETD. I then travelled alone to eastern Europe (including Russia). I gained so much self confidence from that trip I'm doing it again this year. You did extremely well!
