I was nothing like you. My parents divorced when I was 6. My sister and I were sent to live with our grandparents. My father remarried when I was 10 and we lived with him and our stepmother. I never wanted to be married. I wanted to have a career. I've been married and divorced twice and have 6 kids. Life doesn't always give us what we plan for.
