I usually give 50 claps if I like the article and less for comments. Claps matter somehow for Medium too. How they pay you or how they promote your article I’m not exactly sure. I discovered the holding down feature and wrote about it. I probably wasn’t the first one although people who read my short-form said they didn’t know about it.
