I think if I'd read this article before I travelled, I'd never have left home. I'd have been too scared. I do leave all my gold jewellery at home but that's about it. I'm not security conscious. I leave my unlocked suitcase on the platform while I go grab a coffee. In all of my trips, it's never been stolen. I figure it's like security at home - the more locks and bars you have on the windows, the more a burglar thinks you've got to steal. My house in virtually unlockable - I've lost the key - but my friend up the road who had security on every window and door was cleaned out while she was at work. I know some people don't agree with my theory but it's always worked for me.
