I loved Colmar. I've visited twice. The first time we couldn't find the canals, so the second time, I was determined. We were driving so could park closer to the older part of town. The canals are beautiful - not as big as Venice's but more beautiful. The half-timbered houses hang out over the canals and we ate in a restaurant over the canal. And we didn't have to line up. We were there to visit the Christmas market and loved it too.
