I love London and always stay out near Twickenham Stadium - not for the rugby -but it's cheap and easy to get anywhere on the tube, train or bus. And the accommodation is a fraction of the cost of inner London and much nicer. On my first trip to London, we stayed centrally. The hotel cost an arm and a leg and gave us pieces of paper with feet drawn on them for bath mats- I kid you not!
