I enjoyed your story Immensely, I'm travelling in Poalnd eating pierogi every day atm. My hostel is above a pierogiana that only serves pierogi ( about 20 different types). I'm currently using their free wifi even though I'm in my bunk bed. It's really sad the situation between Ukraine and Russia for both Ukrainians and Russians.
