I don’t know much about American politics but I do know teaching has changed. I started teaching in 1970 and the parents supported the teacher. If Johnny got into trouble at school, the parent would ask “ what did you do wrong?” Now Johnny gets into trouble at school and the parent is up in arms accusing the teacher. “How dare she discipline Johnny? He’s no trouble at home! “ How times have changed and not for the better I’m afraid.
