I did a mothercraft course at high school but it in no way prepared me for having a baby. My eldest son now 50 has multiple mental illnesses. What did I do wrong? I started teaching when he was 6 weeks old. He had shared care during the day by both grandmothers. Did three people looking after him confuse him? His dad was not a hands on dad so he had no interaction with him. All I can say is you do the best you can and just hope for the best. Losing your child is the most terrifying experience. I lost my youngest daughter once at the shopping centre. I was a mess. I panicked. I alerted security. I was convinced someone had taken her. She was found hiding underneath a dress rack in the same shop I’d been when I noticed her missing.
