Funnily enough, I spent part of two consecutive Januaries in Portugal Jan 2015 and Jan 2016. The weather in 2015 was perfect - warm and sunny. The next year was quite the opposite - pouring with rain, windy and cold. We hit cyclonic conditions in Porto so had to head inland away from the coast. We had planned to drive along the coast to San Sebastian.
