Fruitless Friday

Should have stayed in bed!

Ever had one of those days when nothing goes to plan? When you can’t take a trick? My day started badly as I had left my wheat pack round at Keeley’s so had to manage back pain without it. That’s okay. It’s not the end of the world.

I have an x-ray and ultrasound appointment at 3 pm so I decide I’ll go out and do some errands before then. I’d received a click and collect notification two weeks ago so thought I’d get that out of the way first. No luck! I went to three adjacent shops and no one had the order nor could track it.

After waiting on the phone, the shop assistant said — It’s probably easier for you to call when you’re sitting down with a cup of coffee.

Mission one. Fail.

Next task was to collect my scripts from the pharmacy. I’d received a text at 6am so surely they’d be ready by now. Nope. It can take up to 5 days apparently.

Mission two. Fail.

I needed milk so called in to the supermarket. I bought a few items: shampoo, conditioner, toilet rolls, tissues and paper towels while I was there. Spent $88.14. And I forgot the bloody milk!

Mission three. Fail.

On my way home, I called in to Keeley’s to collect my washed and dried clothes. Most had been in the dryer but I had 5 dresses hanging up drying so I didn’t have to iron them. They had been unhung and shoved into the basket. I raged and cried the whole time I was ironing them. I took them home and, as I was hanging them up, my thumb got caught between the sliding doors.

Dare I go out to dinner? Or should I just go to bed? It’s only the 12th, not Friday the 13th!
