Escaping to Portugal or Spain every winter would have been exciting. I know Spanish is your first language, but do you also speak Portuguese? Other Canadians who call themselves snowbirds escape to Mexico or Central America for winters. I enjoy cold weather but those Canadian temperatures are just crazy. -40 degrees? no thanks.
