Deep Diving Into Writing On Medium

The focus today is on Medium and my experience with it.
How did I hear about Medium? If there is an interesting story behind it, please share it.
I heard about Medium through Katie Michaelson. She’s a wonderful writer but due to a brain injury had lost some of the skills needed to write a great story. I became her proofreader and editor. I joined Medium to be able to read and edit her stories. After a couple of months, she encouraged me to write. Well, that’s not quite true — she nagged me so much that I wrote a story just to shut her up. She was the only one who read it. Nevertheless, the next month I wrote another story. Katie and one other person read it. That was January 2021.
How long have you been writing on Medium?
I’ve been writing consistently for 2 and a quarter years.
If you have to choose one of the articles you wrote on Medium, which one will it be and why?
I love writing stories of my travels, especially of places that are off the beaten track. This is one of the most recent ones that hasn’t received a lot of love and I think it deserves more.
