Can People Just Be Unlucky?
How the hell do I know?
I think it’s unlikely that one person can be unlucky their whole life. You might have periods where your good luck runs out but then if you wait for a smidgeon longer, you may have a run of good luck. It’s the law of averages — evens stevens! What goes up must come down…etc etc
People who attract negativity will appear to have more bad luck than others but it’s only their negative frame of mind that makes it seem so.
Oh gees, I don’t know. You might have good luck in one sphere of your life but not in another, but does that make you unlucky in the others? For years I’ve seen friends who’ve been very happily married to wonderful men all their lives suffer one health crisis after another, so while I could say I’ve been unlucky in love, I’ve been extremely lucky with my health.
I haven’t been lucky financially due to the aforementioned unlucky love interests, but I like to think I’ve been extremely lucky in my travels around the world. Many “girls” my age have never left their hometown! I say girls even though we are in our seventies. Heavens to Betsy, I don’t feel that old.
Considering all the checks and balances, I think I come out ahead on the luck scale. If I had been lucky with a husband, I would not have seen so much of our wonderful world. And after…
