4 weeks? I call that last minute! My bags are usually packed 12 months before my trip. I travel for 4-5 months through European winter so I don't need any of those clothes here in Brisbane, Australia. It never gets cold. I plan everything my itinerary months before departure. Sometimes things have to be changed but I accept that.
