27. Show us your meds. Write about the medications you’re on and why.

Seriously, Keeley?

Yeah, I take a lot of drugs. Some only since my knee surgery.

Others since I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

And some I’ve been taking for longer.

So I’ll divide them into three categories. You don’t have to read. This is so effing boring!

Most recent

doxycycline — I haven’t even started taking this one yet. It’s an anti-malaria drug. I have to take it two days before my trip to the Philippines and 4 weeks after I get back to Australia. I really don’t want to catch malaria.

After knee surgery.

Amitriptyline and Duloxetine — it’s normally used to combat anxiety but they are used to lessen pain. Sadly, normal painkillers don’t have an effect on me. eg endone, targin, panadol and nurofen. Even morphine and an epidural during surgery wore off immediately. It took the doctors a few weeks to work this out. I was not a happy camper aka patient.

For rheumatoid arthritis.

Methotrexate injections weekly

Hydroxychloroquine
